Russian Society of Urologists and Petrovax Pharm join forces to advance urological care in Russia

The Russian Society of Urologists (RSU) and biopharmaceutical company Petrovax Pharm have signed a long-term cooperation agreement. The agreement was signed in Kazan during the 26th Congress of the Russian Society of Urologists, a major professional forum bringing together leading specialists from Russia and abroad. The partnership will combine the expertise of the medical community, academia and the pharmaceutical industry to advance modern urological care in Russia.

The agreement was signed by Petr Glybochko, Chairman of the RSU and Rector of Sechenov University, and Mikhail Tsyferov, President of Petrovax Pharm. Their joint work will focus on raising awareness among medical professionals of modern methods for diagnosing, treating and preventing urological diseases, improving the quality of healthcare and protecting public health. The partners also intend to promote the adoption of modern approaches to the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of urological diseases based on the principles of evidence-based medicine.

One of the key areas of cooperation will be the development of educational and informational materials for the medical community. The RSU and Petrovax Pharm plan to work together on analytical reviews and educational projects, discuss current issues in clinical practice, and support the development of clinical guidelines, standards and approaches to the delivery of urological care.

Particular attention will be paid to professional education. The partnership will include events where specialists can share experience and discuss new evidence on the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of urological diseases. The agreement also provides for support for scientific research and the introduction of promising medical practices into routine clinical care.

Petr Glybochko, Chairman of the Russian Society of Urologists and Rector of Sechenov University, highlighted the rapid advances in modern urology and the need to bring together the medical community, academia and industry.

“Our partnership with Petrovax Pharm will enable us to develop educational and research projects, expand the exchange of professional expertise and, most importantly, help bring modern approaches into routine clinical practice. Ultimately, all our joint initiatives should serve one goal: improving the quality of urological care and protecting patients’ health,”

 — he said.

Mikhail Tsyferov, President of Petrovax Pharm, emphasized the Russian Society of Urologists’ significant contribution to the advancement of science, medical education and clinical practice in Russia:

“We are honored to become a partner of a professional community that plays a major role in shaping the future of urology in Russia. Today, high-quality healthcare brings together science, clinical practice, modern technology and continuing professional education. This is why we see our cooperation with the RSU as a long-term partnership.

“At Petrovax Pharm, we consider it essential to support projects that give physicians access to new knowledge, support clinical trials and help introduce modern therapeutic approaches. We place particular emphasis on prevention and the preservation of reproductive health. I am confident that combining the expertise of the medical community with the capabilities of the pharmaceutical industry will enable us to deliver initiatives of practical value to both specialists and patients,”

 — said Mikhail Tsyferov.

The agreement will provide a foundation for sustained joint work between the RSU and Petrovax Pharm. The partners expect that combining their professional and scientific expertise will enable them to develop projects that meet the needs of the medical community and help patients access modern, high-quality urological care.
