Petrovax Pharm supports a documentary project about the lives of people with rare diseases

In early August, the stage of the Moscow Pushkin Drama Theatre hosted a unique performance of the play My Ordinary Rare Day, featuring nine children with orphan diseases as the main characters. The play is part of a project to create the documentary film The Rare Ones, carried out with the support of Petrovax Pharm.

On that day, children with rare diseases took to the stage alongside professional actors. For the participants, the performance provided an opportunity to share their personal stories with the audience.

At the heart of the plot is the story of an adult who, through communication with children, rediscovers the world of play, imagination, and dreams. For in the world of childhood, forgotten by adults, one can start with a clean slate, find one’s own rare place, and believe in the impossible.

The play My Ordinary Rare Day is part of the documentary film The Rare Ones. Filming took place in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Petrozavodsk, and Novosibirsk. The film’s premiere is scheduled for autumn 2026.

The project’s authors are Russian screenwriter Ksenia Sadovski and French director Roman Travaillé, for whom the film’s subject holds a deep personal meaning. Roman’s daughter Emma lives with a rare genetic disease. She also took part in the production.

Petrovax Pharm supports the creation of the film The Rare Ones and other initiatives aimed at raising attention to the lives of people with orphan diseases. The company participates in projects that help to speak about this subject openly and sensitively, and that foster a more attentive attitude in society toward patients with rare diagnoses.
