On 11 February 2016, RBC TV channel’s Vittel aired an interview with Veronika Skvortsova, Russian Minister of Health, who talked about the reform in the Russian healthcare system. When asked about the quality of Russian vaccines, Ms Skvortsova cited NPO Petrovax Pharm’s Grippol Plus flu vaccine as an example of the world’s leading vaccine.

“Indeed, in our anti-flu vaccination initiatives we have switched to the locally produced Grippol Plus pediatric vaccine manufactured by Petrovax. It is recognised as one of the best vaccines globally. Grippol Plus is 100% safe and therefore can be used to prevent flu in babies and pregnant women. We have a long follow-up record in place. Having analysed the vaccine’s effect, we are positive about the lack of either serious or minor side effects. This vaccine is a illustrative sample,” Veronika Skvortsova said in her interview.
